Vegas Part 2, We ate our show!

Last night we tried to decide if we wanted to go to a show. Ron White was in town. I like his comedy and his delivery, but this is Vegas no telling how far he might go. Everyone says that we MUST see the Blue Man Group. I am sure they are both good and blue, but we were not in the mood. Instead we decided to go out to eat. Strolling through the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, setting among Versace, Rolex, Tiffany's, and the like was Spago, Wolfgang Puck's signature restaurant. You have seen those shows on TV showing the top places and how the portions are small. There is a reason! I had "Surf and Turf" (lobster & Filet). It came with a potato cake and a spinach dish. When they served us, the meal was stacked: potato cake on bottom covered with the spinach dish then the steak topped with lobster tail. In all it covered about a third of the plate. But I can safely say that it may have been one of the three best meals I've had for pay. And we did pay! Easily equal to Blue Man Tickets! For desert the shared a slice of 15 layer carrot cake with walnuts and ginger ice cream. yes, the portions were small. Thankfully! This was not Weight Watchers. The attached photo shows the corner of our table which sat at the railing in the bottom of the photo. Yes, we ate our show.

Tonight, after the race, we went to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Cafe. (I read two weeks ago that it was the busiest restaurant in the U.S.) We go everytimewe are here (along with In and Out). This meal for two was less than our appetiser at Spago!
